Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner, addressing their needs and concerns
- Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling
- Answer and direct phone calls, responding to inquiries and providing information to patients and healthcare providers
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including demographic and appointment information
- Prepare and distribute medical records, test results, and other documents
- Absorb and assist with front desk duties, such as checking patients in and out, handling paperwork, and processing payments
- Ensure a clean and organized reception area, maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient patient flow
- Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support the medical office
Requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and colleagues
- Proficiency in electronic medical records and scheduling software; ability to learn new systems quickly
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
