Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner, addressing their needs and concerns
  • Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling
  • Answer and direct phone calls, responding to inquiries and providing information to patients and healthcare providers
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including demographic and appointment information
  • Prepare and distribute medical records, test results, and other documents
  • Absorb and assist with front desk duties, such as checking patients in and out, handling paperwork, and processing payments
  • Ensure a clean and organized reception area, maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient patient flow
  • Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support the medical office

Requirements

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and colleagues
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records and scheduling software; ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
