About the Role

Performs receptionist duties and clerical support for the Rehabilitation department at Samaritan Health Services. The department evaluates and treats patients with injuries or conditions affecting physical mobility or functional independence, offering services such as acute and swing bed rehab, outpatient sports and orthopedic rehab, pediatric rehab, neurological and stroke rehab, balance and dizziness rehab, wheelchair seating, and neck, back, and extremity care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide receptionist and clerical support for the department.
  • Manage administrative tasks including word processing, filing, record-keeping, and designing forms.
  • Deliver effective customer service, assessing needs, meeting quality standards, and evaluating satisfaction.
  • Organize, plan, and prioritize work to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain confidentiality of protected health information in compliance with HIPAA and state/federal laws.
  • Utilize medical terminology to read, interpret, and apply policies, procedures, and regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Associate's degree (preferred).
  • Prior experience in reception or customer service (required).
  • Experience or training in medical terminology (strongly preferred).
  • Prior experience in a hospital or medical office setting (preferred).
