About the Role

The Warehouse Receiving Associate ensures orders are available, accurate, salable, and received in a timely manner to exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Unload, inspect, count, and sign for inbound packages and skids from carriers.
  • Sort skids and/or packages by business unit.
  • Utilize a pack slip or purchase order printout to match received product and enter quantities into the computer system or scan products.
  • Enter accurate information into the computer system and place products in appropriate containers, carts, pallets, or skids.
  • Bring products to the staging area for put-away.
  • Identify non-conformances (e.g., item count, product description, product damage) and forward to the Overpayment & Damage Clerk (OS&D).
  • Assess accuracy and integrity of all incoming palletized shipments (package count, damage, correct address) and print purchase orders.
  • Identify all items against the purchase order and accurately enter receiving transactions into the computerized inventory system.
  • Identify and correct inventory errors; alert OS&D to irregularities (e.g., count and location errors, product shortages, product damage).
  • Authenticate all products and drugs received at the fulfillment center under DSCSA guidelines.
  • Contact vendors to verify received products and ensure they were processed with a lot number generated from the pedigree; collect vendor paperwork for verification.
  • Adhere to Patterson Companies' business code of ethics and conduct.
  • Align with Patterson Companies' Purpose, Vision, and Values.
  • Use assigned warehouse equipment/machinery to meet or exceed performance metrics and KPIs.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse.
  • Handle hazardous materials, pesticides, and prescription drugs according to company processes, procedures, and applicable laws.
  • Perform all work in accordance with company safety guidelines and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Proficient and accurate PC/keyboarding skills; familiar with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word) and email.
  • Ability to read, write, and count.
  • Comprehensive problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and productivity goals.
  • Ability to train and certify in the use of various forklifts: sit-down, cherry picker (mobile elevated working platform), and/or Joey forklift (multipurpose order picker).

Working Conditions

  • Lift and carry up to 55 pounds; team lift 56 to 100 pounds (continuous, moderate, or occasional heavy physical activity).
  • Sitting or standing (continuous, moderate, or occasional heavy physical activity).
  • Use of hands (continuous, moderate, or occasional heavy physical activity).
  • Stoop, bend, or crawl (occasional or frequent moderate physical activity).
  • Ascend/descend a ladder (occasional or frequent moderate physical activity).
  • No travel required; position is local.
  • No on-call requirement.
  • Exposure to dust.
