About the role

In the Receiving department at Cornerstone Building Brands, you will ensure efficient material flow by receiving, storing, and moving raw materials and components for window production. You will also maintain accurate inventory records and ensure adherence to safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving and Inspecting: Unloading and inspecting incoming materials for damage or discrepancies, verifying against purchase orders
  • Storing and Organizing: Storing materials in designated areas, ensuring proper inventory rotation to prevent damage, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment
  • Material Handling: Moving materials using equipment like forklifts or electric pallet jacks ensuring safe and efficient transport
  • Inventory Management: Maintaining accurate records of incoming and outgoing materials, participating in cycle counts and physical inventories
  • Quality Control: Identifying and reporting any quality issues with materials, assisting in quality checks and troubleshooting
  • Safety Compliance: Following all safety procedures and guidelines, using personal protective equipment (PPE), and ensuring a safe work environment
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicating with other departments, such as production, shipping, and receiving, to ensure timely and accurate material flow

Requirements

  • Experience with material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Ability to read and understand instructions, and to follow written and verbal directions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials
  • Basic computer skills for inventory management

Schedule

Days: 6 AM – 4:30 PM. Friday overtime with advanced notice.
