Material Handler I (Receiving 1st Shift)

Responsibilities

• Unloading/loading trailers in the reasonable expected (RE) time.
• Locating pallets in the reasonable expected (RE) time.
• Ensuring accuracy of orders shipped out.
• Adhering to all safety regulations in forklift operations.

Requirements

• Ability to drive a forklift in a safe manner adhering to all safety guidelines.
• Mandatory forklift experience for 2 years.
• Must complete and pass Phase 1 of forklift program.
• Must be able to operate a forklift in a professional manner and demonstrate good maneuverability skills.
• Mandatory basic math skills.
• Mandatory good reading and writing skills.
• Mandatory good communication skills.
• Mandatory ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
• Mandatory ability to interact with the team in a positive manner.
• Mandatory ability to prioritize tasks according to their importance or urgency.
• Mandatory positive attitude to adapt to change.

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
• Able to bend and stoop for long periods of time.

Working Conditions

• Work in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
• Withstand noisy, dusty work areas.
• Always wear safety glasses.
• Withstand both hot and cold atmospheres depending on weather conditions.
• Operate a forklift according to proper safety guidelines, including the wearing of seat belts.
• Aware of surroundings at all times.

Special Qualifications

• Must have forklift experience.
• No corrective actions required.
