Receiving Lead

Job Duties

• Controls receiving workflow by assigning tasks to employees, monitor effectiveness and make adjustment to the plan to ensure a consistent steady flow of materials
• Ensures product is inspected closely to identify any possible theft/shortages of inbound product before it is received
• Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results
• Processes receiving exceptions daily and communicate to management any issues

Requirements

• Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
• Enforce attendance policy and dress code. (Written notices given)
• Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
• Effectively communicates with the upper management about receiving exceptions, shortages and discrepancies

Skills

• Familiar with Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, MS Word, etc..)
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Must be able to work additional hours as needed to meet customer requirements
• Must have prior experience as a receiving lead/supervisor
• Manhattan WMS experience is a big plus
