Metalforms, located in Beaumont, TX, specializes in designing, fabricating, testing, and maintaining heat exchangers and related process equipment. Recently acquired by the TransTech Group, we serve industries such as energy, petrochemical, specialty chemical, renewables, and biofuels along the Gulf Coast Region.

About the role

The Receiving Inspector will unload, inspect, process, and deliver incoming materials under the direction of the Material Manager. This role ensures accurate inspection and documentation while supporting warehouse operations, inventory management, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, process, and distribute paperwork for incoming goods and materials.
  • Stock, retrieve, distribute, and inventory warehouse consumables.
  • Interact with delivery personnel and company teams.
  • Inspect incoming materials for compliance and quality.
  • Unload delivery trucks using forklifts and overhead cranes.
  • Identify material issues and collaborate with the Material Manager to resolve them.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with year-end inventory.
  • Pack and ship orders as needed.
  • Support other areas of the shop as directed.

Requirements

  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of materials and products used in a fabrication shop.
  • Understanding of Material Traceability Reports.
  • College education preferred.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Quality Control.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly and effectively.
  • Physical ability to perform shop work, including frequent bending, squatting, climbing (under 5 feet), and lifting up to 50 lbs.
