Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Receives and loads incoming and outgoing materials and supplies, while processing non-inspectable receipts.
- Ensure all incoming and outgoing material is appropriately documented as arrived and/or received in the company ERP and transferred to its appropriate storage location per AKBA procedures.
- Manage received components for re-shipment to outside processing vendors including preparing outgoing materials for shipment, banding and wrapping.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace and shop area using 5S Methodology.
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment (as applicable).
Additional Duties And Responsibilities
- Handling of recyclable materials and scheduling of pickups.
- Upkeep of receiving grounds as assigned by management.
- Review documentation for consumables, service warranty and finished goods orders.
- Perform fiscal inventory.
- Allocation of materials from inventory to appropriate location and process inside ERP.
- Tasks as assigned by lead and or management.
Organizational Relationships
- Reports to Warehouse Supervisor.
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Computer skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Experience in handling and managing parts inventory a plus.
- Experienced users of ERP systems considered major plus.
- Hands-on mechanical skills.
- Familiarity with commonly-used hand tools.
Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions
- The position requires physical mobility and must lift, carry and/or move up to 50lbs multiple times daily.
- The position requires standing for long periods of time, and experience operating material handling equipment (i.e., forklift, pallet jack, motorized pallet jack).
- The work environment is a receiving dock within a manufacturing/mechanical shop facility.
- Safe operation of all equipment including pallet jacks and fork trucks.
- Safety shoes required to be worn at all times (provided by company).
Pay
The base compensation range for this role is $21-24/hour. Base Compensation is influenced by many factors including, but not limited to: time in the role, previous experience, skills, knowledge, performance, work requirements, internal equity, and business / economic conditions.
