Summary/Objective Complete the shipment of the daily shipping schedule in the best timely manner possible. This is accomplished by continually tracking loads that are still in process and keeping the lines of communication open with the departments still needing to handle the chassis. Required Education And Experience High School DiplomaWorking knowledge of Microsoft Word and ExcelExperience in manufacturing and production is preferred, 5 years of experience Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Managing Deliveries.Posting daily deliveries by printing a shipper for contractors to deliver. Maintain Returned Shippers by scanning to Accounts Payable & FileAssist with handling Customer Requests. Level of involvement will vary but will allow need to make sure transportation is arranged and communicated.Coordinate shipping activities, including packing, labeling, and loading and unloading shipmentsConduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepanciesPrepare shipping documents including bills of landing, shipping labels, packing slipsPerform quality checks on outgoing shipments, tracking numbers, and delivery confirmationAdress and resolve shipping-related issues and discrepencies promptlyCollaborate with other departments, such as logistics and customer service to meet delivery and resolve customer inquiriesCommunicate shipping updates and issues to managementOther duties and responsibilities as assigned Competencies Must be able to work as a part of a team to achieve the company’s overall goals;Must demonstrate clear verbal and written communication skills (English);Must be able to read and process written communication including, but not limited to measurements, directions, instructions, etc.;Must possess successful problem-solving skillsMust be able to exhibit tact and diplomacy and maintain professional relationships with supervisors, fellow employees, customers, etc.;Must be able to work under physically and mentally stressful situations;Must be able to prioritize and easily adapt to changes through the day.Minimum 3 years experience and/or training or combination of education and experienceBasic computer skills include Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and OutlookAbility to read picklists and ordersProficiency in UPS Worldship is requiredMust know how to operate a forklift Supervisory Responsibility This role does not have any supervisory responsibility upon hiring. This position is very active and requires 98% standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling. The employee may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This position requires Personal Protective Equipment. Protective Equipment supplied by the company includes: Coating suit, Coating Boots, Spray Socks, Respirator, Work Gloves, Safety Glasses and Ear Plugs. Employees may be required to provide additional Protective Equipment (Safety Shoes, etc.). Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time hourly position. Travel No travel is expected for this position. Work Authorization/Security Clearance Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
