Duties And Responsibilities

  • Unload packages and check their content for accuracy, and assist in the management of inventory.
  • Serve as backup to procurement team members, and assist in logistics and procurement when needed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with assigned suppliers and customers, including knowledge of their needs and requirements.
  • Collaborate with many areas of the organization to ensure the highest quality of data and information sharing.
  • Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconcile with data storage system.
  • Maintain receiving, warehouse, and distribution.
  • Support production as needed regarding inventory and printing load tags.
  • Process all inbound miscellaneous freight, labels, tags, and enter into SAP and/or other data storage systems.
  • Operate Forklift, or other hand trucks, to move items in warehouse and/or production area.
  • Maintain exceptional safety record and model safe behavior.

Education And Experience

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 1 year in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ideal candidate will be currently enrolled, or willing to continue their education in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or relevant field.

Reasoning Abilities

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situations.

Technical Skills

  • A working knowledge of the following: Equipment design and capabilities that can be translated into efficient operation, Product layouts and production specifications, Product quality specifications, Quality standards.

Knowledge

  • Basic manufacturing concepts highly preferred.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly stand, walk, and talk or hear.
  • Frequently use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, wet and/or humid conditions, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, vibration, and noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
