Receiving Clerk - 043 Houston-Braeswood

About the role

The Receiving Clerk at the 043 Houston-Braeswood Store is responsible for the entire operation of the receiving department for the store. The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, and essential functions include physical tasks such as lifting, standing, walking, and kneeling, as well as visual and auditory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate the receiving department for the store under direct supervision of the Store Director.
• Read and write Spanish/English, interact with general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Requirements

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Qualifications

• Basic PC/Outlook skills.
• Retail Management Certificate.
