About the Role

At Sunbelt Solomon, we deliver full-lifecycle power, energy, and automation solutions across the Americas. As a Receiving Specialist, you will manage all incoming and outgoing shipments of transformers into the facility, partnering with load management to verify inventory assets and ensure adherence to company standards. Compliance with safety requirements, product quality standards, and company policies is essential.

Responsibilities

• Complete virtual warehouse transactions
• Receive incoming shipments, verifying accuracy against packing lists or purchase orders
• Inspect incoming materials for damage or defects and report discrepancies
• Label, sort, and distribute incoming materials to designated storage areas
• Maintain accurate records of all incoming inventory, including tracking numbers, dates, and quantities
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely delivery of materials for production schedules
• Assist in inventory management by conducting regular cycle counts and reconciling discrepancies
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, hoist cranes, or pallet jacks
• Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area, adhering to safety guidelines
• Communicate effectively with vendors, carriers, and internal stakeholders to resolve receiving issues
• Match incoming transformers unit information and assign inventory control numbers
• Sort incoming transformers—scrap and inventory
• Tag incoming transformers according to oil pumping guide and PCB content
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly workstation
• Perform other assigned duties as needed

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
• Experience with small hand tools
• Cooperative attitude toward internal and external customers
• Ability to assist team members and help with workload
• Dependable and strong work ethic; commitment to safety
• Professional language and conduct at all times
• Ability to learn other areas to fill in where required
