Responsibilities
- Receive and verify incoming shipments by reviewing packing lists, purchase orders, quantities, and product accuracy
- Safely unload trucks using forklifts; inspect shipments for damage, documenting discrepancies on Bills of Lading (BOLs)
- Process receiving transactions in the inventory system, including labeling, documenting, and finalizing receipts
- Repackage products as needed due to damaged packaging, supplier branding requirements, or weight and handling considerations
- Transport and store inventory in designated locations using forklifts, reach trucks, and order pickers while maintaining warehouse organization
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including researching receiving errors, reconciling "Not Found" inventory locations, and processing inventory adjustments
- Support inventory control activities such as cycle counts, scale counting, lot number verification, and Material Test Report (MTR) research
- Maintain a safe, organized, and clean warehouse by conducting routine inspections and addressing storage, housekeeping, and safety concerns
- Assist with daily receiving operations and other warehouse or inventory-related tasks as needed to support the broader distribution center team
Requirements
- At least one year of experience in a warehouse environment, including operating equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, or similar material handling equipment to receive, store, and fulfill inventory
- Previous inventory experience is beneficial but not required
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with Purchasing, Quality, and other departments to resolve issues and maintain accurate inventory records
- Familiarity using RF scanners, printers, and inventory management systems
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the workday
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in receiving, inventory, and documentation processes
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, procedures, and safety guidelines
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to adjust to changing priorities and business needs in a fast-paced warehouse environment
