Receiving Associate

We deliver organic produce, meats, seafood, plant-based proteins, dairy, bakery, wine, and other groceries at up to 30% off traditional prices. Our innovative delivery model minimizes carbon emissions, saving an average of 500,000 pounds of food waste each week.

Responsibilities

• Works closely with all warehouse departments to coordinate the efficient flow of products from the receiving area to designated storage locations.
• Communicates effectively with team members to ensure a smooth transition of goods.
• Timely unloads inbound trailers, handling food products carefully to prevent damage or spoilage.
• Conducts thorough inspections of received products, verifying quantity, quality, and integrity. Reports any discrepancies or damages promptly and follows established procedures for documentation.
• Accurately records and documents all received shipments, maintaining organized and up-to-date records.
• Stays informed about and adheres to food safety regulations and warehouse operating procedures.

Requirements

• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Experience or comfort with working in a refrigerated environment (36 degrees).
• Strong verbal communications skills.
• Willingness to work overtime and/or possible weekends as needed.
• Ability to thrive in a repetitive and fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to stand, squat, kneel, and bend repetitively with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish).
• Experience working in a food-based environment.
