About the role
As a Receiving Associate, you will handle packages arriving at the facility, review contents for accuracy, and ensure products are delivered to the correct department.
Responsibilities
- Print and sort pick tickets to fulfill orders and match them with packing lists and carton shipping labels
- Audit complete orders to assure 100% quality
- Construct boxes according to size required for orders and place appropriate documentation and labels on/in boxes
- Fill void space in boxes to prepare for shipment and ensure boxes are properly sealed
- Manifest and load orders for shipment
- Sort products by location, product number, and description; label and restock product
- Perform job tasks as assigned by the Manager
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area; restock workstation with appropriate supplies as needed
- Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety
- Comply with company, OSHA, and other applicable regulations to assure a safe workplace
- Receive packages specific to contracts and individuals, then sort and store according to procedures
- Work to maintain appropriate inventory levels and accuracy
- Work as a team to accomplish all productivity goals efficiently and accurately
Requirements
- Experience working in shipping/receiving preferred (training provided)
- Computer proficiency and ability to learn new skills; prior Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and MS Excel experience preferred
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to execute instructions and process orders
- Ability to complete basic math, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing
- Highly organized with strong attention to accuracy and detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet daily productivity standards
- Willing and able to stand and walk for extended periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation
