Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unpack, and meticulously inspect all incoming customer returns (RMAs), verifying contents, quantities, and serial numbers against return documentation.
- Evaluate the condition of returned merchandise (e.g., new, used, defective, damaged) and accurately sort items for their correct disposition, such as return-to-stock, refurbishment, or scrap.
- Accurately log all return details, product conditions, and final dispositions into the Warehouse Management System (WMS) or ERP to ensure precise inventory records and timely customer crediting.
- Identify and report any discrepancies between the physical return and the RMA paperwork (e.g., wrong item, missing parts, unexpected damage) to the appropriate team.
- Inspect the quality, condition, and quantity of any incoming goods, and allocate them to the appropriate space in the warehouse.
- Provide punctual receipts, forms and communication to the Inventory Team regarding all inbound deliveries on correct and incorrect quantity and item deliveries.
- Document and communicate to the Inventory Team any overage, shortages, and damage products for escalation.
- Transfer stock items inside the warehouse using a pallet jack or forklift when applicable.
- Ensure picking locations are properly stocked and correctly labeled.
- Ensure all overstock pallets are properly labeled and put away.
- Ensure work area is clean and organized, and free of potential hazards.
- Frequently moves boxes weighing up to 100lbs across the warehouse for various needs.
- Stand, walk and sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms.
- May work in a warehouse with varying temperatures.
Required Skills And Attributes
- Competence in a myriad of warehouse tasks, to include such things as inventory counts; QC shipping parcel and LTL; receiving incoming Inventory shipments; loading trailers; stacking product on pallets; scanning and documenting outgoing shipments; etc.
- Attention to detail, willing attitude, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work alone or with a team.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items as needed.
- Ability to multitask.
- Capable of consistently working a 40-hour work week.
Qualifications
- Solid, consistent, work history.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and computer literacy.
- Must be able to maintain working conditions (safety, quality, cleanliness, & costs).
- Must be able to assist in improving a system of production control, standard operating procedure, safety, quality control, and performance.
