Receiver/Shipper, PM, Bakery - Lakeland

Responsibilities

Operating a forklift to receive, select and ship inventory while following required procedures of each function
Neatly and accurately loading trailers with pallets of product
Maintaining records, tracking inventory items and completing documents for shipping and receiving
Reporting all unsafe conditions, damage to product, equipment and facility
Completing all paperwork required by the position
Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old
Demonstrate excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Pre-Op Inspection Guidelines
Demonstrate safe working habits
Define problems, utilize logic and draw conclusions
Lift in excess of 75 pounds
Work under stressful situations, accept change for continuous improvement
Have or be able to obtain a forklift license and operate a forklift
Work in a fast-paced environment
Have good human relation skills
Work any shift, nights, weekends, holidays and extended periods of time
Withstand repetitive bending, twisting, stooping, walking, standing and sitting
Organize, prioritize and work under deadline constraints
Work efficiently with little or no supervision
Follow detailed written and verbal instructions
Possess basic math skills
Communicate effectively
Show enthusiasm, initiative and pride in work

Year End Bonus

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November.
In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check.
In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
