Receiver - Lumber Yard

About the role

Join our Kingston lumber yard team as a Receiver and play a vital part in ensuring materials are accurately received, inspected, and stored so our customers and crews have the products they need when they need them.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments from vendors for accuracy, damage, and shortages.
• Verify deliveries against receiving documents and report any discrepancies.
• Document and process returned goods when necessary.
• Safely unload, move, and organize incoming materials within the yard and storage areas.
• Ensure receiving paperwork is completed accurately and routed to the appropriate department.
• Help maintain an organized, efficient, and safe work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous receiving, warehouse, lumber yard, or material handling experience is a plus, but we're willing to train the right candidate.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform physical tasks, including unloading and moving materials.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Dependable, team-oriented attitude with a focus on safety.

Pay

In addition to the base wage, team members are eligible to earn an additional incentive subject to changes in plan design and in accordance with applicable law. Eligibility and the amount of the incentive varies based on the terms and conditions of the location’s active incentive plan for the respective year.
