About the role

Handles daily receipt of merchandise received from vendor trucks by examining shipments, unloading and moving incoming shipments to storage, and forwarding approved receiving documents to the appropriate department for processing.

Responsibilities

  • Examines shipment for defects and shortages against receiving documents.
  • Records factors causing goods to be returned.
  • Unloads and moves incoming shipments to storage.
  • Forwards approved receiving documents to appropriate department for processing.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
