Receiver / Design Assistant

About the Role

Combine hands-on warehouse skills with top-notch customer service! As a Design Center Assistant / Receiver at Classic Rock, you'll help homeowners make their dream selections while ensuring materials move efficiently through our warehouse. This role is perfect for organized, detail-oriented individuals who enjoy variety and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do

Design Center Support:

• Deliver exceptional customer service during design appointments
• Assist homeowners with stone, edge profile, and sink selections
• Answer phones and schedule design appointments
• Mark and track materials for customer holds, maintaining the Material Hold Log
• Facilitate Slab Smith photo documentation as needed

Receiving & Inventory:

• Receive, verify, and put away incoming materials
• Notify or deliver products to end users and departments
• Verify documentation (packing slips, invoices) for all receipts
• Enter receiving data into the computer system and send digital copies to Purchasing
• Maintain raw material and critical supply inventories, including organization and cleaning
• Assist with outbound shipments and inventory cycle counts

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–2 years of related experience
• Valid driver's license required
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, correspondence, and diagrams
• Strong communication skills to interact with homeowners, colleagues, and vendors
• Math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals
• Ability to lift up to 125 pounds, and perform regular physical activity (standing, walking, reaching, stooping, handling)
• Fluent in English

Work Environment

• Primarily warehouse, occasionally outdoor
• Steel-toe boots and safety glasses required while performing receiver duties
