Design Assistant

About the role

Bluejack Ranch is seeking a Design Assistant to join our team. This role involves assisting in the development of interior design packages and new construction selections, maintaining the Design Center library, scheduling client appointments, and space planning.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing interior design packages and new construction selections
• Research product, obtain samples, coordinate with vendors
• Maintain Design Center library
• Schedule client appointments
• Space planning on current and future builds

Requirements

• Ace or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Microsoft Office and Sketchup
• Strong communication, organizational and time management skills
• Self-starter who catches on quickly and takes initiative

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification, vocational training, or equivalent mechanical experience is preferred

• Keen eye for detail
• Think creatively, identify proactive solutions and problem solve
• Excellent organization, time management, and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to simultaneously coordinate multiple projects and change course several times a day
• Knowledge and exposure to products, selections, coordination and completion of FF&E specifications

Benefits

Pay

Hourly non-exempt, with additional compensation for soliciting gratuities from members or guests.

Weekdays, weekends, and holidays, schedule flexible as business dictates.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Regularly required to stand and move around for the entirety or majority of their shift
• May be working outside or inside and in different types of weather including excessive heat, cold temperatures, rain and sunshine
• May be working evenings, weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules based on event needs
• Regularly required to push, pull, bend, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
