Overall Job Summary

The TM Receiver is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, maximizing store sales, and interacting with customers and Team Members to deliver a Legendary Customer Experience. The role requires flexibility, adaptability, and service orientation, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service through GURA principles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Maintain regular and predictable attendance. - Work scheduled shifts, varying hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed. - Perform a combination of duties including: - Processing inbound and outbound freight. - Maintaining accurate inventory control. - Recovering merchandise. - Participating in mandatory freight processes. - Keeping a clean, organized, and safe work area. - Stocking and tagging assigned work areas. - Operating cash register/computer. - Ensuring customer has a Legendary shopping experience. - Rotating and disposing of dated products. - Assembling merchandise. - Operating forklift and cardboard baler. - Ensuring the safety and well-being of birds.

Required Qualifications

- Shipping/receiving experience preferred but not required. - Retail experience and/or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge strongly preferred. - Must be 18 years of age or older and have a valid driver's license. - High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required. - Basic computer skills/experience. - Basic math skills. - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to resolve issues ethically and with minimal conflict.

Working Conditions

- Generally works inside with moderate noise. - Work shifts vary from one store to another, typically no less than 4 hours and may exceed 8 hours. - Indoor floors and outdoor lots are generally hard surfaces (concrete, asphalt, etc.), with adequate lighting and temperature. - Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions. - Promotes a safe and productive work environment for Team Members and customers, adhering to Company safety training and guidelines.

Physical Requirements

- Non-sedentary position. - Requires physical and mental stamina and ability to move throughout the store and outdoor areas quickly and safely. - Must have the physical and mental ability to perform all of the following tasks (with or without reasonable accommodation): - Operate a forklift. - Operate and use all equipment necessary to run a store (e.g., dolly, handtruck, forklift, baler, computer, cash register). - Push and pull merchandise up to 2,000 pounds with the assistance of proper material handling equipment. - Occasionally lift or reach merchandise overhead. - Frequently stand, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, and climb ladders. - Move and transfer merchandise, weighing up to 50 pounds, throughout the store. - Move throughout the store for an entire shift. - Access all areas of the store including selling floor, side lot, stock area, and register area. - Constantly operate store equipment such as computer, cash register, and other store equipment. - Read, write, and count accurately to complete all documentation. - Utilize strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively with team members and customers. - Process information/merchandise through the point-of-sale system. - Handle and be in contact with birds/poultry. - Successfully complete training and certification to dispense propane, and to dispense propane (propane certification and dispensing requirement does not apply if under the age of 18).
