Overview of Responsibilities

• Gatekeeper for products brought to the store from vendors.
• Inspect products for temperature (if perishable), shortages, overages, and damages.
• Manage backroom storage using basic mathematical operations and organization skills.
• Perform all functions and paperwork related to receiving duties and role.
• Work independently and maintain effective communication with the Store team and third-party vendors.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age; high school diploma or GED and 1-2 years receiving experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule that changes with the business, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to work independently yet have excellent interpersonal skills and communicate effectively with other Team Members/Store leadership; prioritize and multi-task.
• Able to receive all product for the store, inspect it for temperature (if perishable), shortages, overages, damage, and quality.
• Communicate with service vendors, understand proper retail receiving, perform simple math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division), and have basic computer knowledge.
• Able to move/transferring products weighing up to 60lbs., from 5” to 56”, for up to 30 feet for up to 30 hours without mechanical assistance.
• Maintain courteous relationship with drivers and vendors.
• Follows Sprouts standards as they pertain to receiving practices and complies with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adheres to safe work practices.
• Able to work varied hours/days as business dictates.
