Responsibilities

• Attend training regarding applicable equipment
• Perform additional duties as needed
• Assist in loading fabricated rebar on trailers and unloading stock material from trailers
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition
• Operate production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
• Participate in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety Culture
• Cross-train on multiple machines
• Operate rebar fabrication equipment, such as shears, benders, cranes, forklifts, threaders, forging, welders, etc.

Requirements

• Must be able to work outside under all weather conditions, including heat and cold
• Able and willing to cross-train as required
• Follow OSHA, EPA, and company safety policies, rules, and regulations
• Possess a strong work ethic and practice safe working habits
• Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, pay attention to detail, and find root causes for issues
• Ability to operate fabrication machines safely without supervision
• Able to work overtime as business requires, including planned or unplanned emergency situations
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders and steps, and stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to read technical documents and service manuals
• Possess knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the industrial field
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Minimum 1 year of experience working in a heavy industrial environment preferred but not required
• Must possess a strong work ethic and ability to be punctual

Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
