Realty Specialist.

This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Serves as real property specialist performing duties relating to real property accountability, real estate transactions, space utilization, and real property assignments in accordance with appropriate regulatory guidance.
• Conducts real property land utilization surveys and prepares the annual Installation Commander’s Annual Real Property Utilization Survey.
• Reviews and analyzes construction project files to extract capital increases and decreases to real property inventory.
• Investigates possible encroachments and unauthorized uses to verify compliance with existing out-grant authority and regulations.

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• This position requires a 1-year probationary period during which the agency evaluates your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest.
• Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
• Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
• Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs may be authorized, subject to the provisions of the Joint Travel Regulations.
• Failure to provide all required information may result in an ineligible rating or affect the overall rating.

Qualifications

To qualify, you must meet one of the following education and/or experience requirements:

• One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service, which includes:
  • Assisting with a variety of real estate agreement documents;
  • Maintaining real property inventory;
  • Conducting inspections to analyze the use of facilities, buildings, and land;
  • Compiling data to support real property management and space allocation decisions.
• Successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a relevant field such as Real Estate. (Transcripts required.)
• A combination of specialized experience (less than one year) and graduate education (at least two years) that together meet 100% of the qualification requirements. (Transcripts required.)
