Real World Evidence Scientific Lead

Responsibilities
- Partner with the Real-World Evidence Strategy aT1D Lead to deliver RWE value for the registration, pre-launch, and peri-launch of teplizumab in autoimmune type 1 diabetes (aT1D).
- Manage end-to-end planning, execution, and communication of real-world studies, ensuring deliverables are on time, within budget, and meet high scientific standards.
- Provide strategic scientific input across all stages of RWE studies, from conceptualization to closure, including study design, cohort construction, protocol development, data analysis, and clinical study report development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and internal/external experts to ensure real-world data and RWE generation align with intended regulatory, market access, or clinical uses.
- Serve as a methodological expert in designing and executing real-world study plans, addressing evidence gaps and leveraging innovative RWE designs and analytics.
- Identify and validate fit-for-purpose external data sources and collaborate with institutions/organizations.
- Develop budgets for RWE studies in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, supporting strategic and budget planning.
- Maintain timely communication with team members, partners, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on evidence strategy, study progress, and risk mitigation.
- Support GenMed medical gaps within the Global Integrated Evidence Generation Plans (IEGP).
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in pharmaco-epidemiology, biostatistics, or Health Outcomes (PhD preferred). Business education is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in real-world evidence (RWE) generation within the pharmaceutical industry, with end-to-end leadership experience.
- Strong publication record in relevant journals.
- Experience across therapeutic areas, including transplant, diabetes, and cardiovascular.
Skills
- Soft Skills: Ability to influence and motivate teams and senior leaders; strategic thinking for innovative evidence generation; urgency, ownership, and proactive attitude.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in pharmacoepidemiology, HEOR, and RWE study design; experience with routinely collected healthcare data; end-to-end project management for real-world studies; understanding of commercial strategy; fluent English (second European language appreciated).
