About the role

The Davis County Facilities, Construction, and Real Estate Department is hiring for a Real Property & Asset Manager position in Farmington, Utah.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates the acquisition of real properties in various interests.
  • Ensures the County's Properties are depreciated according to accounting standards.
  • Facilitates the disposition of the County's Properties, including determining fair market value and negotiating terms of disposition.
  • Creates and maintains a current inventory of the County's Properties.
  • Performs lease management services, including determining fair market value for lease rates and negotiating lease terms.
  • Ensures the County's Properties are properly insured.
  • Conducts annual physical audits of the County's Properties.
  • Performs contract management services, such as communicating with tenants, collecting lease payments, and reporting contract breaches.
  • Performs property inspection services, including regular inspections for risks or liabilities.
  • Ensures the County's Properties comply with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Schedules and facilitates non-noticed County Property Committee meetings.
  • Responds to and finalizes requests made by third parties to use the County's Properties.
  • Assists the Tax Administration Division in preparing for the annual Davis County tax sale.
  • Works closely with other County offices, departments, or divisions.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in business management, real estate, planning, or a closely related field.
  • Four years of work experience in property management, real estate, title work, capital asset management, recording, or a related field.
  • Paid work experience performing commercial property management/acquisition and related activities.
  • An active Real Estate Sale Agent or Broker license issued by the Utah Division of Real Estate.
  • A background in title work.

Preference is given to directly related experience, an active Real Estate Sale Agent or Broker license, and a background in title work.
