Real Estate Strategy Manager
About the role
Crusoe is seeking a Real Estate Strategy Manager to join our real estate team. This leadership-track role involves the end-to-end acquisition - development lifecycle for large-scale data center projects. You will lead the identification and de-risking of high-scale data center sites, oversee the evaluation of power capacity, fiber latency, and complex environmental/geotechnical constraints, and design capitalization strategies that leverage conventional project finance alongside innovative alternative sources.
Responsibilities
- Lead the identification and de-risking of high-scale data center sites, overseeing the evaluation of power capacity, fiber latency, and complex environmental/geotechnical constraints to ensure sites are fully de-risked and prepared for construction handoff.
- Oversee the development of sophisticated financial models for infrastructure-heavy assets.
- Present complex acquisition opportunities and return scenarios to senior leadership and the Board, providing data-driven recommendations on land value and infrastructure recovery.
- Act as a point of contact for city officials, utilities, and community stakeholders, navigating the high-stakes zoning and permitting processes required for global expansion.
- Manage RFP for consultants, ensuring technical specifications meet our "AI-first" infrastructure standards.
- Manage the seamless transition of entitled sites to the Construction and Operations teams, providing comprehensive documentation of all site encumbrances and local commitments.
- Drive the team’s understanding of macroeconomic trends, specifically power market volatility, to pivot development strategies in real-time.
- Partner with Energy and Cloud teams to ensure real estate assets are optimized for maximum "electron-to-token" efficiency.
