About the role
We are a 100% virtual CPA firm serving Real Estate Investors, Syndicates, and Fund Managers. As a Senior Tax Associate, you will prepare and review Individual, Partnership, and S-Corporation tax returns and supporting workpapers, with occasional exposure to Corporation, Gift, and Trust returns. You will conduct initial file reviews to identify missing or incomplete data and communicate directly with clients via email, phone, Loom, or Zoom to request documents. Our firm emphasizes work-life integration, autonomy, ongoing training, and strong team culture.
Responsibilities
- Review basic and complex tax returns and supporting documents for completeness and accuracy
- Prepare complex tax returns, including Form 3115 and 1031 exchange reporting
- Consult with peers, supervisors, and clients with a same-day response time (or within external 48-hour requirements)
- Adhere to professional ethics and client confidentiality policies
- Pursue licensing such as EA or CPA
- Prepare and/or review documents and response letters to resolve client notices
- Assist in firm projects, including client proposals, workpaper roll-forwards, and training material development
- Attend relevant CPE to enhance technical and process-related skills
Measures for Success
- Timeliness of deliverables and workpapers, tracked via production metrics
- Accuracy of deliverables and workpapers, reflected in instant tax feedback quality ratings
- Development of technical skills, reflected in instant tax feedback quality ratings and ability to handle more complex projects
- Client NPS ratings

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience, with 3 years as an associate recommended
- CPA or EA certification preferred
