About the Role
Colliers is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Real Estate Operations Intern to support our Appleton-based commercial real estate team throughout the 2026-2027 academic year. This in-person internship offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in commercial real estate operations, property management administration, tenant relations, budgeting support, and office management. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, customer-service oriented, and eager to learn about commercial real estate in a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative support to the property management and real estate operations team.
- Maintain and organize electronic and physical filing systems.
- Assist with document preparation, scanning, data entry, and record retention.
- Monitor and manage the team's shared email inbox, routing inquiries and responding as appropriate.
- Support front desk and office administrative functions as needed.
- Assist with tenant communications and correspondence.
- Prepare and distribute tenant welcome letters and onboarding materials.
- Help coordinate tenant appreciation initiatives, including holiday gift ordering and distribution.
- Provide timely and professional customer service support to tenants and vendors.
- Assist with invoice processing and tracking.
- Support budgeting and expense tracking activities.
- Help maintain accurate records related to property operations and expenditures.
- Assist with vendor coordination and office supply purchasing.
- Monitor and replenish office supplies and coordinate supply orders.
- Support special projects and operational initiatives as assigned.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a technical college or undergraduate degree program.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional demeanor and strong customer service skills.
- Interest in commercial real estate, property management, or business administration is preferred.
