Real Estate Fund Accountant

Our client, a top Real Estate Asset Manager in downtown Chicago, is seeking a Fund Accountant to join their expanding hybrid team. Competitive compensation, comprehensive health benefits, PTO, and retirement plans are offered.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closes
• Calculate, interpret, and communicate financial performance returns
• Complete monthly financial analysis and review property manager and joint venture partner financial statements
• Handle cash management transactions and tracking
• Support reporting requirements, year-end audit, and tax processes
• Help improve financial reporting processes and client service
• Identify problems and propose solutions
• Assist with special projects as assigned

Requirements

• 1-3 years of accounting experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• CPA preferred (or willingness to pursue)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with strong accuracy in self-review
• Highly organized, able to multi-task
• Team player who also works well independently
• Solid grasp of technical accounting concepts
• Strong Excel/MS Office proficiency
