About the role
An elite national law practice is seeking a driven mid- to senior-level Associate to join its thriving Real Estate Finance team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an attorney who thrives on complex, high-value commercial real estate transactions and is ready to play a key role in a sophisticated lender-side practice.
Responsibilities
- Origination of senior and mezzanine loans, preferred equity, and other structured products
- Drafting and negotiating primary loan documents
- Managing transactions independently from inception through closing and post-closing
- Advising on asset management, workouts, and lender exit strategies, including repurchase facilities and secondary market transactions
- Collaborating closely with partners and clients while navigating complex subject matter in a fast-moving environment
Requirements
- 4+ years of broad experience in real estate finance
- Strong academic credentials and polished research, writing, and communication skills
- A track record of handling sophisticated lender-side transactions
- The confidence to run deals and the judgment to anticipate issues before they arise
- A collaborative mindset and the ambition to help build a nationally recognized practice
Qualifications
- Must hold a JD and be admitted to practice in the jurisdiction where you intend to sit
