The chosen candidate will manage the real estate portfolio and property management of 40+ facilities in 6 countries through a life cycle perspective—from acquisition of new real estate through ongoing management to eventual disposal. This role is responsible for a portfolio that enables better employee productivity, creates flexible work environments, reduces real estate costs, and considers sustainability. This position is part of a Global Procurement & Real Estate team.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end management of DNV North America’s corporate real estate portfolio.
• Serve as the main point of contact between DNV and brokers during lease negotiations and with landlords or property management teams throughout the lease term.
• Work with DNV legal to negotiate favorable multi-year lease terms for DNV.
• Ensure all leases adhere to DNV Global and Regional Real Estate policies and guidelines.
• Lead business areas and local teams in evaluating prospective locations and guide them on operational and financial impact.
• Responsible for real estate lease evaluations, compliance, and cost-effectiveness of all projects.
• Present and collaborate with Global Real Estate when evaluating prospective locations.
• Develop strong senior management relationships by actively engaging with business area requirements and providing accurate and timely lease completions.
• Conduct regular rent and space analysis of the portfolio to assess performance.
• Proactively review and present savings opportunities for improved portfolio optimization.
• Assess real estate market conditions, trends, and indicators to optimize asset goals.
• Provide support for facility operational needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration required; concentration in Real Estate Management preferred.
• 1-2 years in corporate real estate required.
• 1-2 years in project management preferred.
• Ability to read architectural floor plans.
• Ability to travel to tour locations and help manage moves (10-15%); weekend travel may be required.
• Skilled in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams).
• Proven negotiation skills and ability to influence and gain consensus.
• Well-developed communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
• Strategic thinker with a high work ethic, level of responsibility, and professionalism.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
