Real Estate Attorney (5 Years Experience) – Minneapolis, MN

About the role
We are seeking an attorney to join the Real Estate Department in our Minneapolis office. The ideal candidate will have over five years of wide-ranging transactional real estate experience, with significant experience performing core real estate transactional tasks.
Responsibilities
- Negotiate and draft complex commercial leases for both landlords and tenants
- Negotiate and draft purchase and sale agreements and related ancillary documents for both sellers and buyers in commercial real estate transactions
- Manage real estate due diligence for sale and purchase, financing transactions, and corporate transactions involving real estate
- Represent developers in negotiating and drafting various agreements for real estate developments
- Represent borrowers in mortgage loan transactions
- Manage the closing of real estate sale, purchase, and financing transactions
Requirements
- 5+ years of transactional real estate experience
- Demonstrated ability to independently handle core real estate transactional tasks
- Significant experience negotiating and drafting complex commercial leases
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and writing skills
- Strong academic background
- J.D. from an ABA-Accredited Law School
- Active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction and ability to promptly get admitted in the state of Minnesota

Pay
The salary range for this position varies by geographical market. In Minneapolis, the estimated starting annual salary for a full-time employee would be at least $240,000 per year. Higher starting compensation may be offered to an attorney with more experience and/or a portable book of business. The compensation offered will be dependent on the candidate’s experience, skills, education, professional background, overall qualifications, and geographic market location.
