Legal Assistant - Real Estate (Minneapolis)
Duties And Responsibilities
- Provides skilled, proactive administrative support to attorneys, paralegals, and others as needed.
- Exhibits outstanding client service orientation in greeting guests, scheduling meetings, and arranging telephone conferences.
- Affords assistance in managing client contacts, emails, and documents as well as processing mail.
- Assists in preparing and reviewing documents, letters and memoranda according to Firm standards.
- Proactively monitors deadlines and maintains communication with attorneys regarding same.
- Processes requests for payment and reimbursements.
- Enters attorney billable hours into the firm billing program and assists with the billing process.
- Creates, maintains and retires files in accordance with Taft’s Information Governance Policy.
- Drafts basic documents and emails.
- Responds to requests with a sense of urgency and effectively prioritizes work.
- Clearly communicates in a concise, professional manner.
- Displays strong attention to detail.
- At least 1 year of Legal Assistant experience strongly preferred.
- Educational background beyond high school or coursework related to the legal industry preferred.
- Proficient command of the English language and standard grammar rules.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $30.25/hour – $41.02/hour. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Qualifications
At least 1 year of Legal Assistant experience strongly preferred. Education beyond high school or coursework related to the legal industry preferred. Proficient command of the English language and standard grammar rules. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
