Responsibilities
- Property Research: Investigate ownership records, easements, covenants, and deed descriptions to understand all relevant details
- Site Evaluation: Visit affected properties and collect information relating to market value, depreciation, liens, judgments, and property features
- Valuation Methods: Apply appropriate appraisal methods to establish accurate property values
- Damage Assessment: Assist with preparing damage estimates and support project staff through appraisal reviews and analyses
- Market Analysis: Develop market value estimates by reviewing comparable sales, zoning restrictions, market trends, and environmental factors
- Stakeholder Support: Provide clear information to property owners, legal staff, municipal officials, and claim settlement agents
Requirements
- Active Pennsylvania Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser certification
- Active motor vehicle license
- Must meet Pennsylvania residency requirements
- Able to perform essential job functions
Schedule
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch
- Opportunity for part-time telework with a securely configured high-speed internet connection from an approved location inside Pennsylvania; otherwise, report to the headquarters office in Clearfield
Pay
Starting annual salary of $53,008 (before taxes) for candidates new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
