Cedar Brook Property, a subsidiary of Bayview Asset Management, is seeking a motivated Real Estate Acquisitions Agent to join our team in the Charleston, SC area.

About the role

As the primary point of contact for clients looking to sell their properties, you’ll engage with motivated sellers, utilizing strong sales and negotiation skills to deliver outstanding results. This highly entrepreneurial role offers clear goals and performance incentives.

Pay

Base salary range: $50,000 to $60,000 with commission. Last year, top-performing acquisition managers exceeded $125,000 in total compensation.

Responsibilities

  • Build rapport and establish trust with home sellers, providing tailored solutions to meet their needs
  • Purchase homes, make offers based on market trends, and oversee the transaction process
  • Actively cultivate relationships with sellers and your local real estate network; manage leads and follow up to close deals
  • Use strong negotiation skills to create win-win deals and close transactions promptly
  • Collaborate with title, legal, construction, and operations teams; manage and mentor junior team members
  • Conduct site visits to assess properties and meet with clients to discuss property values, repairs, and offers

Requirements

  • 4–10 years of experience in sales or business development
  • Must possess a real estate license or demonstrate willingness and ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire
  • Self-motivated with a competitive, results-driven mentality and ability to meet clear goals
  • Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and listening skills; ability to build rapport and close deals
  • Highly organized with strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficient with CRM software and digital tools for communication and organization
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate clients

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Travel: 10% or as necessary to visit properties and conduct site assessments
  • Regularly required to sit, use hands, talk, and hear
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
  • May encounter environmental conditions such as low/high temperatures, precipitation, and wind
  • May occasionally work in small or enclosed spaces
