About the role

Texas Ready-Mix is seeking a Sales Representative to join our team in the San Antonio/New Braunfels, TX area. The ideal candidate will develop and maintain relationships with current and potential customers, achieve sales goals, and implement strategies to increase sales volume and profit margins.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with current and potential customers
  • Achieve sales goals for Ready-mix concrete products
  • Develop short and long-term sales strategies and plans
  • Assist in developing strategy and tactics to meet company sales goals and profitability
  • Analyze market potential, including competitive pricing, customer profiles, activities, market trends, demand forecasting, and other relevant facts
  • Identify and bid projects within the assigned market
  • Sell products to business and industrial establishments or individuals
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the entire product line, product changes, selling strategies, competitive surveillance methods, expense control, etc.
  • Provide customers with material quotes and record orders in tracking system
  • Track sales and report to management on the progress of future orders
  • Manage CRH relationships with key accounts
  • Conduct negotiations with suppliers and vendors as needed
  • Increase sales volume for company’s products and services, while meeting profit margin goals and maintaining sales expense budget
  • Track product inventory to ensure an adequate supply of product is available to meet customers’ needs
  • Compile a list of prospective customers for use as sales leads
  • Coordinate product delivery, if necessary
  • Participate in industry and product-related associations, training programs, conferences, seminars, and educational forums
  • Manage CRH relationships with key accounts
  • Work independently within the territory to accomplish goals
  • Communicate with the sales teams to manage and coordinate sales to customers who overlap geographic markets, as well as to leverage the CRH portfolio across company boundaries
