Job Description Summary
Oversee all daily aspects of delivery of Ready-Mix concrete ensuring safe, accurate and on-time delivery of product at our Gassaway, WV location. Work daily with Operations Support Supervisor to assure acceptable product quality control compliance.Requirements
- Ability to always work safely in a lone worker environment.
- Must partner with Management Team to ensure daily schedules are met.
- Willing to learn to Operate plant to load ready mix materials for delivery.
- Willing to batch, drive or run equipment at other locations as back up.
- Haul and dispense ready mix to customers from home plant and other plants as needed.
- Willing to learn/use a tablet for work time entry and other daily processes.
- Operate Loader on rough terrain to fill plant with raw materials.
- Ability to stockpile materials using loader in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintenance duties to include oil, grease, service and make normal operating adjustments to equipment and plant as needed to maintain operating condition.
- Physical ability to operate equipment and to transport material under temperature extremes and for extended hours of time. Normal shift is 8-12 hours.
- Must be able to check truck and plant for maintenance needed and report deficiencies promptly to maintenance staff.
- Regular communication with Shop and grounds team on required maintenance needs for rolling stock, yellow iron, and fixed assets.
- Complete all required daily, weekly, and monthly reports including site risk assessments, environmental testing, DVIR’s and other required reports.
- Willing to wait on customers and provide retail product sales as needed.
- Willing to load and unload both external and internal customers with various building supply products.
- Craftsmanship and ability to follow OSHA/MSHA safety standards.
- Ability to be flexible with last minute schedule changes, location changes, time of shift changes. Overtime work required.
- Ability to transport material with attention to detail and emphasis on safety.
- Initiative to perform/assist with multiple people for job completion.
- Ability to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintain individual PPE in functional condition as well as Truck camera/monitoring systems.
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds.

- Must pass drug test and criminal background check. Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the public always.
- Report to the assigned job site ready to begin work at the designated start time.
- Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Manual of Safety Practices and Procedures.
- Strict adherence to Company policies and procedures as outlined in the Company Book of Policies.
- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as needed.
- Timely and regular attendance is an essential job function and an expectation of performance for all employees. Employees will be held accountable for adhering to their workplace schedule.
Education/Experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
- Must be able to learn and work with Microsoft Office programs including Microsoft Email, Word, and Excel as well as internal systems Command Batch and UAS point of sale.
- Must possess Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B and valid Medical Examiner Certificate.
