What You Will Be Doing

• Carry out virtual one-on-one and small-group reading intervention sessions for students in grades 3–8
• Analyze assessment and progress-monitoring data to identify comprehension and fluency gaps and modify instruction promptly
• Adapt instruction across varying reading levels, including support for students with dyslexia and related reading challenges
• Maintain systematic monitoring of student progress and apply data to shape subsequent intervention plans
• Facilitate structured motivation check-ins that build confidence, persistence, and ownership of growth

What You Won’t Be Doing

• Teach large lecture-format classes using a fixed curriculum
• Adequately adhere to rigid intervention scripts without responding to student needs
• Serve as a passive supervisor for software-driven learning programs
• Rely on superficial incentives rather than fostering genuine student motivation and confidence

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in education, literacy, or a related field
• Reading intervention certification or equivalent state endorsement (e.g., Reading Specialist certification or equivalent)
• Training or certification in dyslexia intervention or structured literacy approaches
• At least 2 years of experience delivering one-on-one or small-group reading interventions for students in grades 3–8
• Experience supporting students with dyslexia or related reading difficulties
• Ability to interpret student progress data and use it to adjust instruction effectively
• Strong virtual communication and student engagement skills
