We're a logistics software company. Our platform helps mid-sized freight carriers track shipments, drivers and delivery exceptions in real time. The product works well, but the customer dashboard was built quickly in our early days (React 16, class components, a lot of inline styles), and it's now the number one complaint in customer feedback. Dispatchers use it 8+ hours a day, so every slow screen and confusing table genuinely costs them time. We have a new design system and screens ready in Figma, done by our in-house designer. We need a senior React developer to rebuild the dashboard front end on top of our existing REST API. Scope: Migrate the dashboard to React 18 with functional components, hooks and TypeScriptImplement the new design system as a reusable component library (tables, filters, status badges, modals)Rebuild the live shipment table with virtualised rows, since some customers have 5,000+ active shipmentsAdd a map view with driver locations, updated through our existing WebSocket feedWrite unit tests for core components and keep performance in check (target under 2s initial load) You'll work closely with our designer and one backend engineer, with a short sync twice a week. We value people who ask questions early and flag trade-offs instead of quietly working around problems. Please share a data-heavy dashboard or admin interface you've built, ideally one with large tables or real-time data.
