React & API Developer

Job Summary Our client, a leading financial services company is seeking a skilled React & API Developer to join their development team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience building modern, scalable web applications using React and integrating with RESTful APIs. This person will closely work with lead engineers, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality, secure, and performant applications. This position is W-2 only. We do not work with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role. Core Responsibilities Develop and maintain user-friendly web applications using React.jsIntegrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs and backend servicesCollaborate with teams to define API contracts and data modelsEnsure application performance, scalability, and responsivenessImplement and maintain secure authentication and authorization mechanismsParticipate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activitiesTroubleshoot and resolve frontend and API integration issuesFollow Agile/Scrum development practices and contribute to sprint planning Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves) Strong experience with React.js, including functional components and hooksProficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScriptSolid understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, and status codesExperience with API integration using Axios, Fetch, or similar toolsStrong fundamentals in HTML5, CSS3, and modern styling approachesExperience with Git and version control workflowsFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processesUnderstanding of API security concepts (JWT, OAuth, CORS) Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves) Experience with State Management (Redux, Context API, Zustand, or similar)Knowledge of React Performance OptimizationFamiliarity with Cloud Platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud)Experience with Automated Testing (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress)Strong Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills Key Competencies & BehaviorsProactive, independent engineerOwns and deliversCommunicates with excellence Work EnvironmentLocation: Preference to Minneapolis, MN; Denver, CO; Irving, TX; Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC locationsHybrid Position, 3 days a week in office Compensation & Benefits Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $44.00 and $64.00.
