Responsibilities

• Put away all product according to inventory control guidelines.
• Cut the shrink wrap from pallets after they are placed in the proper bin location.
• Wrap pallets to ensure stability, check pallet conditions, and stack safely for transport to storage.
• Promptly report damage and all inventory discrepancies.
• Maintain cleanliness and repair of dock and facility areas.
• Maintain all food safety, housekeeping, and other applicable standards.
• Replenish empty pick bins.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED. College coursework, continuing technical education, or comparable business experience is a plus.
• Warehouse experience preferred.
• Reach truck experience required.
• Must be able to pass operational fork truck test with 80% or better.
• Handle and prioritize requests from multiple sources.
• Basic math skills to ensure proper height and counts per pallet and identify or verify pallet ID numbers.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work at elevated heights while wearing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as fall protection harnesses.
• Ability to take directions using the headset selection system (such as VoCollect).
• Ability to accommodate flexible schedules to meet the needs of the member, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Working Conditions

• Independently lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and 100 lbs. occasionally.
• Sit, stand, walk, bend, squat on a frequent to continual basis in a refrigerated warehouse environment.
• Grasp, reach, push, or pull (such as boxes of product or a hand truck) on a frequent basis.
• Work safely up to 36 feet in the air in the rack system to fix dumped pallets on an occasional basis.
• Build pallets up to 6 feet tall with case weights up to 50 pounds.
• Endurance for continuous, fast-paced work.
• Fluctuating temperatures within the perishable DC, including freezing temperatures as low as -20 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Able to work while wearing appropriate PPE (such as steel-toed protective footwear, safety glasses, hard hat, gloves, insulated clothing, etc.).
• Products may contain food allergens (such as fish, shellfish, peanuts, etc.).
• Utilize equipment for the job safely and accurately after training (such as computer, handheld tracker, copiers, scanners, printers, radio headsets, etc.).

Pay
