Reach Truck Operator - 2nd Shift (Friday-Sunday 6AM-630PM)

About the Role

We are looking for industrial athletes to join our warehouse team. This role involves putting away or removing freight from the Receiving dock and replenishing the Bulk and Repack pick slots and reserve slots to maintain a consistent workflow and service stores safely, timely, and cost-effectively using Radio Frequency (RF) devices or Personal Data Assistant (PDA) units.

Responsibilities

• Complete the daily PIT checklist to ensure equipment is working properly and report any defects to management and/or maintenance.
• Operate PIT equipment in a safe manner.
• Achieve set standards (engineered or productivity) on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Transport labeled freight from the dock to its assigned place for storage or shipment and complete the Daily Activity Log to track individual productivity.
• Replenish modules with correct, undamaged freight to maintain quality standards.
• Assist in maintaining workflow by removing empty pallets from pallet return slots as needed to adhere to housekeeping and safety standards.
• Ensure all freight staged on the floor is placed in the correct slot location to maintain adequate merchandise levels.
• Report discrepancies such as merchandise in the wrong slot, slot overflow, or missing license numbers to proper personnel to maintain inventory standards.
• Ensure merchandise is placed in the correct slot location by properly scanning each pallet license.
• Alert Management of damaged racks, pallets, freight, and/or spills.
• Follow set safety procedures and guidelines to maximize personal safety.
• Maintain an organized work area and promote a safe working environment within the Forklift department.
• Follow all Company policies and procedures.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 1 year of experience operating a forklift.
• Adequate fitness level to meet the demands of frequent lifting, walking, standing, moderate climbing, occasional sitting, stooping, and kneeling, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) per Distribution Center requirements.
• Ability to operate all types of PIT equipment, including equipment that may take you to heights of up to 50 feet.

Working Conditions

• Work in a climate-controlled Distribution Center where outside weather conditions may affect the building’s temperature, though fans and heaters are used.
• Exposure to or work in restricted spaces, fumes, and airborne particles as regulated by OSHA.
• Perform shift work and be willing to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays.
