About the Role
Warehouse associates are the foundation of our company’s success. As a Forklift Operator, Non Formula, you will operate material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, reach truck, etc.) to transport incoming freight, maintain inventory, and replenish pick slots while adhering to safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Responsibilities
- Locate proper storage slots on multi-level racks and place pallets using a forklift or hand-stack items; enter product data and location into the system.
- Transport incoming freight from staging areas to inventory (e.g., freezer) using a forklift or pallet jack, and perform count checks.
- Replenish pick slots based on next day’s work orders and rotate date-sensitive stock to the front of racks or remove outdated inventory per company policy.
- Disperse over-stocked items to available slots for temporary storage.
- Remove empty pallets, cardboard, and strapping to designated receptacles; inspect, stack, and store pallets safely.
- Follow all safety policies, preferred work methods, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP); report unsafe conditions immediately.
- Perform pre-shift safety checks on equipment, gather necessary supplies, and prepare for operations.
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Safety Gear throughout the shift.
- Meet productivity and accuracy standards per company guidelines.
- Work from receiving sheets, computer printouts, or verbal instructions; inspect items for damage and perform temperature/quality checks.
- Maintain general housekeeping in the work area as needed.
- Replace forklift batteries requiring recharging, complete vehicle inspection checklists, and secure equipment at shift end.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
- 6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
- Ability to work scheduled/assigned times, including required overtime.
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift, stack, or pull products from shelves at various heights, weighing between 10–35 pounds (up to 60–90 pounds depending on location).
- Ability to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, and dry).
- Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
