About the role
This position involves providing work leadership and performing manual and clerical duties related to the shipment and receipt of materials, supplies, equipment, and finished products.
Responsibilities
- Leads receipt of goods, verifying items against the record of shipment, and inspecting condition.
- Rejects damaged, excess, or misdirected goods, routes material to inspection, stores or other destinations.
- Selects, verifies, and packs for shipment according to specifications, equipment characteristics, and transportation method.
- Checks goods against shipping documents and authorizations.
- Verifies identification and quality of product.
- Records received and shipped items according to established procedures.
- Routes materials, supplies, and equipment to inspection or stock areas.
- Completes written and computerized documentation.
- Solves inventory variances, tracking errors, and a wide variety of other issues.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 5 years related experience.
- May require forklift certification.
- Thorough knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures including handling exceptions.
- Basic reading, writing, and numerical ability.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Effectively coordinates team work activities.
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record may be required.
- Able to operate powered equipment such as forklift or hydraulic jack lift.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications

Pay
The starting pay range for this role and market is between $24.11– $31.20/hour. Factors that may affect starting pay include geography/market, and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible to earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).
