About the role

The Registered Dietitian will function as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team at the UCSD Eating Disorder Program. The RD will be supervised by the clinic director and/or program managers to ensure adherence to the DBT model.

Responsibilities

• Conducting a nutritional assessment for each patient
• Providing a meal plan for each patient
• Checking in with patients about problems following meal plan
• Facilitating a weekly nutrition education group
• Eating at least a few meals per week with patients to observe eating patterns, monitor the meal environment, and assist patients in completing meals
• Attending all treatment team meetings
• Providing consultation and training to the eating disorder staff in the program

Requirements

• Dietitians must possess the equivalent of a Bachelor's Degree in Foods and Nutrition/Dietetics and have completed an Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Internship.
• Registered Dietitian (RD).
• Two (2) years' experience with experience in comparable acuity level.

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) year of experience with an eating disorders program
• Experience in providing meal support to patients
• Experience in an Hospital setting following Title 22 guidelines

Special Conditions

• Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
• Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
• Must be able to work various hours, days, shifts, on-call and various locations based on the 24-hour Medical Center's business needs.

Pay

Annual Full Pay Range: $93,632 - $123,584 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%).
