Responsibilities

  • Lead development, implementation, and optimization of RCM strategies for both mobile and fixed assets.
  • Facilitate RCM workshops and FMEA sessions with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain criticality assessments and preventive maintenance strategies aligned with operational risk.
  • Supervise condition monitoring teams responsible for vibration analysis, oil analysis, thermography, and predictive analytics.
  • Oversee asset health dashboards, predictive maintenance tools, and real-time equipment monitoring systems.
  • Validate condition-based data, trend equipment health indicators, and ensure timely escalation of critical issues.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to reliability and condition monitoring technicians.
  • Develop training plans to build internal capability in diagnostics, root cause analysis, and reliability engineering.
  • Establish KPIs and performance standards for asset health and reliability initiatives.
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) on significant equipment failures and chronic issues.
  • Drive action plans that reduce downtime, increase asset availability, and optimize lifecycle costs.
  • Partner with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to implement reliability improvements.
  • Oversee accuracy and integrity of data in CMMS, historian systems, and condition monitoring databases.
  • Develop and present reliability reports to leadership, highlighting trends, risk areas, and maintenance performance KPIs.
  • Support long-term maintenance planning through failure forecasting and reliability modeling.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of reliability, maintenance, or asset health experience in the mining or heavy industrial sector.
  • Experience supervising technical teams.
  • Strong understanding of fixed plant systems (crushers, conveyors, mills, processing circuits).
  • Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) or similar certification.
  • Level I–III certifications in vibration analysis, lubrication, thermography, or ultrasound.
  • Leadership & team development.
  • Analytical and data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills.
  • Problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to work in a mining environment with changing priorities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • A strong commitment to safety, with experience in conducting safety audits and ensuring compliance with electrical safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: Relevant work experience in mining or heavy industrial settings.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $105,000- $115,000.

Schedule

M-Th, 10hrs / day

Working Conditions & Environment

  • Environment: This role involves working in both office and field environments, including outdoor work at mine sites with exposure to dust, noise, and varying weather conditions.
  • Location: The Cripple Creek & Victor (CC&V) Mine site is located at elevations ranging from approximately 9,400 ft. to 10,600 ft. above sea level.
  • Physical Demands: The role may require walking on uneven terrain, climbing ladders, and working at heights or in confined spaces.
