Raw Receiver (Crew A) Grand Forks

About the Role

The role ensures that trucks of raw product are efficiently and effectively unloaded in a manner consistent with safety, quality, and production goals. Responsibilities include recording shipments and maintaining a neat and orderly work area.

Responsibilities

• Cross-train with Raw Receiving Leads and Peeler Operators.
• Follow safe work practices, Standard Operating Procedures, and company policies to prevent injury to self or others.
• Attend and participate in all training activities, applying acquired skills and knowledge.
• Ensure compliance with Company policies, Standard Operating Procedures, and the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
• Ensure receiving equipment is operational, inspected, and cleaned during clean-up periods to meet raw product needs.
• Safely and accurately unload trucks.
• Perform limited driving of bobcat, front loader, and forklift for assigned duties.
• Communicate raw inventories between trucking, peeler room, load crew, and shift manager.
• Assist in training foreign material inspectors and sanitation staff.
• Coordinate break times with sanitation and foreign material inspectors.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Successfully complete the Job Skill Evaluation to begin training.
• Complete the Structured Job Training program within the recommended timeframe to remain in the position permanently.
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English to complete job duties.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work with hazardous and corrosive chemicals in small areas.
• Proficiency in computer system data entry and navigating various applications.
• Ability to maneuver in close quarters and climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks regularly.
• Ability to stand on concrete floors for long periods.
• Obtain a forklift license for use in the Simplot facility.
• Ability to work in extreme environments (cold, hot, humid, and slippery).
