Core Responsibilities

  • Maintains the best interest of Lyons Magnus first and foremost.
  • Works with employees of Lyons Magnus in a positive and constructive manner to maintain a professional relationship. Demonstrates courtesy, discretion, friendliness and diplomacy.
  • Works within a team environment to share information and help others as needed.
  • Responsible for analytical testing including: Brix, pH, T.A and absorbance/transmittance using a spectrophotometer for all raw materials as specified.
  • Performs preparation and sensory evaluation of raw materials for all loads and samples received.
  • Conducts Aseptic/Sanitary sampling of incoming ingredients (fruits, juices, dry powders, liquid sweeteners, milks, etc.).
  • Maintains accurate and precise records (hard copy and RM database) of all sampled materials including lot codes and analytical results.
  • Reports results that fall out of specifications to the Supply Chain Quality Manager and Quality Control Lab Manager at all times.
  • Aids in restricting products based on evaluation against specifications.
  • Sets up and calibrates lab equipment as needed. Notifies supervisor of any discrepancies.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
  • Performs other functions at the direction of the Supply Chain Quality Manager and Quality Managers or Supervisors, to include back-up to the PQG team lead when needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Proven track record of organizational, planning prioritizing, record keeping and time management skills.
  • Ability to walk, climb, lift and carry as needed for sampling of raw materials.
  • Attention to detail in recording and filing information for each raw material.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Degree required.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in within food beverage manufacturing.
  • Experience with fruit grading and aseptic sampling.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to follow directions.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to maintain accurate and legible documentation.

Pay

$19.50 - $24.00

Hours

2:30 pm - 11:00 pm

Schedule

Monday - Friday (Every other Saturday, work may vary)

Benefits eligibility begins after 90 days.

Additional Information

This is an in-house temporary position aligned with a temp-to-hire process. While a permanent role may become available, conversion is not guaranteed and will depend on business needs, performance, and attendance.
